Eersel, like Bladel and Bergeijk, has a cosy market with some special shops. Eindhoven ± 30 min. with its former Philips factory site Strijp S, is highly recommended. The fresh market and goodmarket are hip. Shopping in Belgium? In ± 60 min. you are in the centre of Hasselt or Antwerp

Festival-goers will find their heart’s content in the vicinity of Eersel. Dominator, The Flying Dutch, Lakedance and Paperclip are internationally known. The Barn Cottage offers a perfect base for groups of friends for these and other festivities such as ‘Abunai’ in Veldhoven.

The Eersel market is filled with cosy terraces from spring to autumn. There is something for everyone, from pancakes to culinary pampering. Near BoksheideBuiten you will find special places such as ‘De Keizer’, ‘Herberg in het Wilde Zwijn’ and the abbeys of ‘Postel’ and ‘Achel’. Also in the nearby villages there are plenty of good restaurants to be found.

Famous museums are the ‘Van Abbe’ in Eindhoven, ‘De Pont’ and the ‘Textiel’ museum in Tilburg. Other smaller well-known museums are ‘Het Vincentre’ in Nuenen and the ‘Bakkerij de Kempen’ museum in Luyksgestel and Eersel. Definitely worth a visit are ‘De Tinteltuin’ in Eersel and the ‘Kaasboerderij’ in Bladel.
