On the edge of the Acht Zaligheden lies the hamlet of Boksheide. From time immemorial, it has been a place surrounded by woods and (heathland) fields, early on in history, an anchorage for commercial travellers and pilgrims. The Boksheide and ‘BoksheideBuiten’ hamlet lies on the edge of the municipality of Eersel near the Belgian border in the Kempen nature reserve.
Nowadays, the Boksheide consists of about twenty- five houses and about one hundred inhabitants, young and old. A rural setting for nature lovers and good starting point for many beautiful routes by bike, motorbike, on horseback, on foot and by car.
The Barn Cottage and the Poppy Cottage have a fire pit, the Cornflower Cottage has an outdoor stove. Here you can use the firepit/outdoor stove to make a cozy fire.
